Hard to believe, but just a few short years ago there were no Jersey Mike's locations on the SouthCoast. I had seen a location once or twice while traveling, but I had never had one of their sandwiches.

Jersey Mike's originally opened its first local store on Rhode Island Avenue before moving over to SouthCoast Marketplace when that plaza was completed in Fall River.

Since then, the sub maker has kicked it into high gear, opening up a location in Dartmouth over the summer of 2019, and yet another Jersey Mike's in Wareham earlier this year.

Fairhaven is next in line. We have learned that Jersey Mike's Subs will open on Wednesday in Fairhaven's Stop & Shop Plaza. It is located next to Brick Pizza.

To kick off its grand opening, Jersey Mike's will be running a fundraising effort with Fairhaven's PTO. Customers with a special fundraising coupon can make a minimum $3 contribution to the Fairhaven PTO in exchange for a regular sub. It is very important to note that customers will be required to have the coupon with them in order to make the donation in exchange for the sub.

Jersey Mike's has done a lot to help the local communities that it feeds. Since 2010, Jersey Mike's locations across the country have raised more than $65 million for local charities. This year alone, the company's 11th Annual Jersey Mike's Month of Giving in March raised over $15 million for more than 200 charities across America.
