FAIRHAVEN (WBSM) — A 17-year-old girl died in a three-vehicle crash Saturday night in Fairhaven.

According to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III, Fairhaven Police and EMS responded at about 9:20 p.m. on July 5 to 911 calls reporting a multi-vehicle crash on Route 6 and Jeannette Street.

Police arrived to find a silver 2009 Nissan Sentra with “catastrophic front-end damage,” according to the D.A.’s Office. The Sentra was found in the eastbound side of the roadway, facing west.

The driver and lone occupant of the Sentra, a 17-year-old girl from Fairhaven, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her identity was not released.

A second vehicle, a 2021 black Ford F250, was on the westbound side of the roadway lying on its side with heavy front-end damage, according to the D.A.’s Office.

The two occupants of the F250, a man and woman in their 20s, were transported to a local hospital for treatment for minor injuries.

A third vehicle involved in the crash, a 2019 Dodge Ram 1500, suffered minor front end damage. Its two occupants were not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
