Fairhaven’s Bizarre Box of Fake Donuts Found by the Roadside
If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years working at Fun 107, it’s this: Fairhaven has a strange way of leaving random things behind, and now, these mystery items are being found beyond the radio station parking lot.
While riding my bike home from work this past week along Huttleston Avenue, something sitting on the lawn outside West Marine immediately caught my attention.
At first glance, it looked like somebody had abandoned an entire box of colorful assorted donuts on the side of the road. Naturally, my first thought was, “What a waste.”
The Donuts Were Fake… and Somehow That Made It Stranger
As I passed by, curiosity got the best of me. The sight of a perfectly good box of donuts sitting in the grass was enough to make me turn my bike around and investigate. That’s when I realized the donuts weren’t real at all.
They were plush toy donuts neatly sitting inside a bakery-style box like someone had gently placed them there as bait on purpose. The strangest part was how clean everything looked. They weren’t dirty, crushed, or weather-beaten like something that had been tossed aside days ago. Talk about an odd thing to find.
Fairhaven’s Growing List of Weird Finds
Maybe they flew out of the back of a truck. Maybe somebody accidentally left them behind. Or just maybe Fairhaven is just becoming the unofficial capital of bizarre roadside discoveries.

Either way, it’s another strange addition to the growing list of odd things I’ve somehow stumbled across around town, and I still have so many questions.
