If you are looking for an animal to complete your home, chances are there is an adoptable animal waiting for you to find them. Wet Nose Wednesday is all about connecting families with animals that are up for adoption on the SouthCoast, and with the help of local shelters, Fun 107 continues to get as many animals adopted as possible.

This week, a loving older dog gets the spotlight.

Meet Meeko. He is an 11-year-old poodle mix currently living at the Fairhaven Animal Shelter, and he is a complete lovebug. He arrived at the shelter after his owner could no longer give him the time and attention he needed in his old age. Upon arrival, Meeko was in dire need of a grooming, so the shelter’s friends at Peaceful Paws Pet Care gave him a handsome makeover just in time to find his forever family.

Meeko gets a little nervous around young children, but once he is comfortable with you, he will make the perfect cuddle buddy and lap dog. Meeko is no longer an energetic puppy. He is looking to spend the rest of his dog days in a relaxed home with a family that loves him.

He makes a trip to the vet soon to be neutered and get up to date on his vaccines.

Does Meeko sound like a good fit for your family? He is waiting to meet you in Fairhaven. Contact the shelter to schedule an appointment.
