Since the spring of 2024, giant trolls have invaded Rhode Island. At first these towering Thomas Dambo creations were only found in Ninigret Park in Charlestown, RI, making trips to find them an easy one-stop drive.

Now however, there are five massive recycled wood trolls throughout the entire Ocean State — with the promise of two more trolls in 2026.

Troll hunters now have several cities and towns to visit in the quest to find each one. We give you the locations of them all right here.

Meet the Five Trolls & Their Locations

Though there are five trolls in Rhode Island, you only need to visit four places to find them. Charlestown is home to two trolls. North Kingstown, Exeter and East Providence each have one.

Theoretically all can be found in a single day, but it would take driving the entire length of the state and not stopping for too long in each spot.

What’s Next: The Future of the Troll Trail in Rhode Island

Together these five trolls make up Rhode Island's 'Troll Trail', which according to Dambo himself is going to grow yet again in 2026. Although Dambo did not actually say two new trolls were coming, he revealed at an event last August that two new 'surprises' were coming to Rhode Island next year.

Considering the Rhode Island project was always intended to be a 'Troll Trail', the 'surprises' promised are likely additional trolls. Dambo intended these pieces to be interconnected and each contain clues that lead to a final, hidden 'Thunder Stone', so 2026 might give us the 'Thunder Stone' itself.

Currently no details about dates or locations for these new builds have been revealed, but typically rumors about potential parks for trolls start up in spring, with completed trolls revealed by late summer.

So as we wait for new troll information, here are the five trolls you can find throughout Rhode Island now and exactly how to get to them.
