Driver Sought After Child Reports Being Hit By Car in Dartmouth
DARTMOUTH - Police are searching for a driver after a child is reportedly struck by a car while on his bike.
Dartmouth Police say a juvenile male reported he was struck by a red Ford Focus while riding his bike in the area of Slocum Road near Hawthorne Street on Tuesday evening.
Police say the incident took place sometime before 6:30 p.m., and the report was delayed since the child rode his bike home to call police.
The child suffered minor injuries to one of his legs, but was not hospitalized.
The vehicle was not located, and the child was not able to relay the license plate number to police. No witnesses have come forward.
