A pod of dolphins was seen swimming in Cape Cod Canal recently and one boater captured them on video.

It was definitely a sight to see, a pod of dolphins jumping in and out of the waters of Cape Cod Canal.

And lucky for all of us that couldn't catch it in person, one man thought to capture video.

Swimming with the dolphins has definitely been on my life's to-do list, but as much as I love watching these dolphins swimming around so close to us I do have to wonder how warm that water can actually be?

With all the rain we've had and the serious lack of sun, I certainly wouldn't want to be swimming just yet.

Of course, it takes me until August to want to hit the water at the beach, so who am I to judge?

But whether it was a chilly dip or an enjoyable swim, the dolphins are here already.

And as the video poster noted the water was on the warm side and seeing them swim like this is extremely rare.

Maybe a weekend trip down canalside on the Cape would allow you to spot these delightful dolphins yourself.

Though you'd probably have better luck from a boat rather than from the shore.
