Do You Think Our Southcoast Schools Are Prepared for a School Shooting?

I can't even wrap my mind around this: a shooting in a Kindergarden classroom in a small elementary school in Connecticut.

My deepest thoughts and prayers are with those families affected by this, and this being just before Christmas, heartbreak is the only way to describe how I feel.

I now wonder if my 5th grader is safe at her school as I'm sure you are now wondering about your kids too. Do you think our local schools are prepared to defend against such an attack if it ever happened? Are you now concerned that your child's school defenses may need to be updated or improved?
