Welcome to Flavortown, SouthCoast. Guy Fieri, the host of the popular reality television series Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, has made frequent pit-stops on the SouthCoast and the surrounding area, proving to the country that this region is a mecca of delicious dining.

Restaurants around here don't just feed you, they also get you talking – and Guy had plenty to talk about with these local spots.

Just in case you have never caught an episode of the program featuring this hair-spiked, animated, sunglass-wearing food lover traveling across the US, here’s the gist of Diners, Drive-In, and Dives: Guy Fieri travels all of the U.S. and Canada, with a focus on independent eateries, in search of different places in the corresponding city to go along with the theme of the day, like ribs or sandwiches. He has even done episodes overseas, in places like London and Cuba. He has been west, north, and south, but he continually comes back to the east for unmatched seafood, mouth-watering burgers, and brag-worthy pizza.

I like to consider myself a foodie. I work very closely with a Rhode Island-based food blog, eating my way through the state and experiencing world-class cuisine. My new mission is to eat my way through the SouthCoast and these “Guy-approved” restaurants seems to be the perfect place to start. After seeing how many places Guy has gone to around the area, my plate is going to be full for months!

Check out these restaurants that Guy Fieri has experienced on the SouthCoast and nearby. Have you experienced any of these yourself?
