Dartmouth TV Thief Turns Himself In, Returns Merchandise
DARTMOUTH — Dartmouth Police say the suspect wanted for stealing two televisions from a department store in town has turned himself in, and the merchandise has been returned.
Early Tuesday morning, Dartmouth Police posted on their Facebook page that a male suspect had walked out of Target with two televisions he did not pay for. They shared images captured on the store's surveillance footage of the suspect, and reported he left the store in a silver Lexus or Mercedes-type sedan with a sunroof.
Early Tuesday afternoon, they posted an update that the suspect had turned himself in, and the merchandise had been returned to the store.
Police did not release the name of the suspect, but he revealed his identity in comments made on the Facebook post as Jason Ferreira of Fall River.
Dartmouth Police Detective Kyle Costa tells WBSM News Ferreira was not arrested, but charges are pending against him.
