National Coffee with a Cop Day is Wednesday, October 2 and its mission is to build relationships one cup at a time by breaking down the barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve.

A few local police departments would like to invite you to join them for a cup of coffee and conversation.

Chief Alves of the Acushnet Police Department will be at the Dunkin Donuts located on S. Main Street from 8 a.m to 9 a.m.

Join Chief Levesque and other members of the Dartmouth Police Department for a cup of coffee on them at Cumberland Farms on October 2 from 8 a.m. - 9 a.m. DPD will have officers at both the State Road and Russells Mills Road locations.

Members of the Wareham Police Department invite you to join them at the Cumberland Farms located at 2364 Cranberry Hwy in West Wareham from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Meet some of the local police officers, ask questions or just stop and say hello.

Members of the City of New Bedford Police Department will be on scene at the following locations and times:

- Tia Maria's European Café located at 42 N. Water St., 9 a.m.
- The Donut Factory located at 102 Rockdale Ave., 9 a.m.
- The Baker located at 562 Pleasant St., 11 a.m.
- McDonald’s located at 1080 King’s Highway 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- McDonald’s located at 141 Coggeshall St., 9-10 a.m.
