Gillette Stadium Chick-fil-A Opening Next Week with Free Food
It’s finally happening. Chick-fil-A Foxboro is ready to serve chicken sandwiches at Patriot Place. The new location at 80 Washington Street officially opens its doors just steps away from Gillette Stadium on Thursday, October 2 at 6:30 a.m.
Full Speed Ahead!
There is no dress rehearsal. There will be no soft openings. Guests can expect the full starting lineup of dine-in, drive-thru, delivery, catering, carry-out and Mobile Thru service, and they'll all be running Monday through Saturday until 10 p.m.
Local owner-operator John De Simone, a Harvard grad and longtime Boston entrepreneur, is bringing the restaurant to life. De Simone has run several North End eateries, but he says this project means more than just food.
“Opening Chick-fil-A Foxborough holds profound significance. My goal is to build a business that positively impacts lives far beyond our doors,” he said.
The new restaurant will create about 120 jobs and immediately give back to the community. Chick-fil-A is donating $25,000 to the Greater Boston Food Bank and will participate in the Shared Table program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits.
Free Food on Opening Day
To celebrate the grand opening, anyone who shows up in cow print (from full costumes to spotted accessories) will score a free entrée. It’s part of Chick-fil-A’s long-running “Eat Mor Chikin” campaign featuring the brand’s famous cows.
Participants are going to have to go some to beat out the spirit that was seen weeks ago for the grand opening of Chick-fil-A in Dartmouth. A real-life local cow named Kevin made an appearance and stole the hearts of many.

For Patriots fans, there’s still one catch. As predicted, the restaurant will keep to tradition and remain closed on Sundays, blocking out eight or more of the most popular dates on the Gillette Stadium calendar.
