U.S. News Compiles List of Best Family Vacation Spots

With the help of reader votes and expert opinions, U.S. News put together the ultimate list of travel destinations that cater to everyone in the family.

They looked at categories like hotel prices, location affordability during summertime, the food scene, and fun activities, as well as considering in-destination writers and editors for their recommendations and insider knowledge.

“Even though our rankings of hotels, vacation destinations, cruises, things to do and more are based on a wide collection of independent opinions, the best options for you may not be those ranked at the top of the list,” said U.S. News. “Travel experiences are personal ones. Nonetheless, we hope that our rankings serve as helpful guideposts as you plan your next trip.”

Cape Cod Ranks #5 on the List

Beating out places such as Grand Canyon National Park and San Diego, Cape Cod comes in at No. 5 for best family vacations in the country.

Since Cape Cod is within driving distance for most of us, we may take for granted just how beautiful of a destination it is.

We have grown up by the coastline. Let’s not forget some families in this country have never experienced coastal living.

U.S. News attributes the serene beaches, charming atmosphere, scenic bike trails, and seemingly endless shoreline to its high ranking.

“While the Cape is a sought-after spot for celebrities and athletes, it’s actually an unassuming place with a laid-back personality,” said the outlet.
