The Buy Black NB website launched back in June and connects consumers with Black-owned businesses. The site recently came out with a holiday gift guide that not only promotes these Black-owned businesses but encourages us to shop local for the holidays at the same time. This guide is meant to show how you can Buy Black this season for everyone on your list.

“In supporting local Black-owned businesses, we are working to close the racial wealth gap, strengthen our local economies, foster job creation, and celebrate Black culture,” said founder, Justina Perry of New Bedford.

The SouthCoast is home to many creative and innovative entrepreneurs and business owners. The 2020 Holiday Gift Guide features 14 local businesses and highlights a special Buy Black NB Winter Tee at the end. The shirt features a design by SouthCoast resident, Rachel Garnett. "All profits from this shirt go to supporting operations of our online platform. Thank you in advance for your financial support of BuyBlackNB."

From Celia’s Boutique, Buy Black NB chose a handful of items to make sure your loved ones know they were on the nice list this year. "You can find gifts for everyone at Celia’s Boutique! From clothing to jewelry, and handbags to shoes. You can shop online or swing into Celia’s Boutique for style assessments, personal shopping, and special ordering.
