I'm sure in the meeting it sounded like a great idea, but sometimes the execution just isn't there.

Build-A-Bear had a sweet little idea to have a "Pay-Your-Age" deal. It's exactly what it sounds like. Your kid gets to build a bear, and then pay their age for it. Sounds like some fun with some pretty sweet savings, right?

Well, according to USA Today, the promotion was a big-time failure. So many people came out for the deal that stores had to shut down. There were lines of up to six hours. Build-A-Bear had to send out this tweet to shut down the promotion earlier today.

You know what they say, "It's all about supply and demand!" Well, unfortunately for Build-A-Bear, the supply didn't come close to meeting the demand, leaving a lot of little ones pretty upset.

They sent out this tweet later in the afternoon regarding the promotion:

Honestly, if you ask me, the whole thing feels a little crazy. Luckily, I already have my Build-A-Bear. His name is Bruce and we're good friends (yes, I know I'm an "adult").
