Bridgewater Man Gets All Four Chairs to Turn on ‘The Voice’

Bridgewater native Conor James got all four chairs to turn in his blind audition on The Voice and we caught up with him on how he feels about his memorable experience.

It's been almost two decades since James decided to move away from Bridgewater and take a musical theatre class in New York, and his determination to share his talent with the world eventually brought him to California, but he hasn't forgotten where he came from.

Recently, James found himself on the stage of NBC's hit show The Voice for a blind audition. Both of his parents were there to support him.

James shared with the world his rendition of Aretha Franklin's "I Say A Little Prayer" (itself a cover of Dionne Warwick's "I Say a Little Prayer For You") and what happened next was a dream come true.

It was incredible to see that James got all four judges' chairs to turn around and will now move forward on what we believe will be an amazing musical journey.

James took some time out of his busy schedule to chat with me over the phone and reminisce over the time he took every chance he could get to drop into Rick's Music World in Raynham for open mic night.

James decided to go with his gut and join Team Adam Levine but all the judges believe he can take it all the way.

James said he intends to make his way back to the area soon to hop on some familiar stages and sing for us. Either way, we are so proud to see another local on the national stage and looking comfortable and sounding amazing.
