Boston College Tailgating Ranks Among Best in America
While the Boston College football team has been a bit of a disappointment to Eagles fans this season, BC fans can still revel in the fact that their tailgating game is elite. Realistically, BC's tailgating can't touch the big college teams in the south. However, pound for pound, Boston College tailgating is among the best in the Northeast, especially when scaled to size. Isn't a good scale what college is all about?
Tailgating at BC Is at the Pro Level
BC tailgating is a one-of-a-kind experience. It's the kind of tailgating that draws in fans from other teams to celebrate. Just ask any Holy Cross alum. A good BC tailgate can be the highlight of your season.
Boston College tailgating is also known for inviting random current students to partake in food and beverage. It doesn't matter if you know the people or not; many BC tailgaters bring enough to go around.
Of course, tailgating is all about beverages and food, and BC has gained some national recognition recently for one particular item from LiveSportsonTV.com.
BC Lobster Rolls Score National Praise
Boston College is ranked No. 19 for best tailgating food with lobster rolls. With the possible exception of Maine, no one comes close to us in the lobster game. It is strong. Taking that flavorful lobster meat with the exquisite texture and tossing it in a light mayo or some drawn butter? It's heaven. Pair it with a buttered and grilled roll, and you will be the most popular guy at Alumni Stadium.

"It’s a dish that reflects both Boston pride and New England flavor, making it a staple for BC Eagles fans. Take heart Eagles fans. While your football team may not make it into the Top 25, your tailgating skills do!" LiveSportsonTV wrote.
Clam Chowder at Gillette Stadium
Honorable mention is Gillette Stadium (ranked No. 54) for its clam chowder. "Creamy, rich, and packed with clams and potatoes, chowder is served from big pots that fans ladle into cups to ward off the New England chill. Oyster crackers float on top, and the salty aroma fills the lot outside Gillette Stadium. It’s hearty, comforting, and pure New England," according to the site.
