We touched on this initially when Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick first got his new puppy (Meet Coach Belichick's New Puppy), but now we are actually so pleased to see CNBC actually did a sit-down interview with Bill Belichick, his girlfriend Linda Holliday, and Nike (his Alaskan Klee Kai), and the whole interview really had almost nothing to do with football and was all about mans best friend, genius.

In the CNBC interview, Holliday reveals Belichick never wanted a dog because he felt they wouldn't be able to take care of one with his crazy Patriots schedule but rest assured, just like the rest of us, as soon as he laid eyes on the Alaskan Klee Kai, he fell in love.

Belichick describes Nike as an aggressive little fellow, who is never satisfied with getting his chew toys from him, no, Nike wants to tear the toy to shreds and rip the speaker right out. Belichick also went on to say he was pretty firm on naming the dog Jack, numerous times during the interview he made that very apparent, stating "I liked Jack, but that didn't make it". His dry humor in this interview had me nonstop laughing. My favorite comment from this entire interview is Belichick at his finest, "he's pretty good with his paws" 😂, as if the dog is an offensive lineman.

Lastly, Belichick loves that his puppy is an escape from football saying the dog just doesn't care about football and gives you an unconditional love. He may be more like the rest of us than we think.
