Bertucci’s in Taunton Abruptly Closes Following Bankruptcy Filing

As of Monday morning, Bertucci's in Taunton is officially closed for business. 

We saw rumors swirling online over the weekend that Bertucci's was preparing to file for bankruptcy. This morning we learned that the closest Bertucci's to the Southcoast, located in the Silver City Galleria Mall in Taunton, has officially closed its doors.

We called the restaurant to confirm the news and got an automated recording saying that the location was now closed and thanking its customers for years of patronage.

According to WCVB5, Bertucci's has 80 locations between Massachusetts and Virginia. The company is allegedly working on a deal with a buyer for some of the locations, while others will close indefinitely like the location in Taunton.

There is a Bertucci's in Plymouth and Warwick but no word on whether those locations will remain open or what the policy on honoring gift cards will be.
