Everything old is new again and this time it's cassette tapes. The music distribution method of the 80's is red hot right now and is even causing a global shortage of tapes!

I couldn't believe this when I saw it, but the Wall Street Journal is reporting that there is in fact a global shortage of cassette tapes.

Seems cassette tapes are making a serious comeback and artists are trying to release their music on the old school technology...but there isn't enough cassette tape to go around.

With the digital era, many tape makers went out of business and now there is less than a year's supply of cassette tape left in the world!

With music quality magnetic tape a thing of the past, one cassette maker is turning to a new way to make tape.

High-grade ferric oxide cassette tape will start to be manufactured in the U.S. for the first time in decades starting this January.

So for all the tape lovers out there (are you really out there?) hold on...more cassettes are coming!
