When I leave the radio station, I say goodbye to my wife Deb every day since we both work at FUN 107. I didn't really notice the salesperson standing to her left and got flack for not saying goodbye to her as well.

When did it become a rule that you have to say goodbye to everybody before you leave the building. If you have 30 to 40 people, that could add up to 15 extra minutes of goodbye, goodbye, goodbye, goodbye, etc. There's was a time when I did say goodbye, but found out very quickly that some just live in their own world and don't even respond.

Would it really bother you that much if your co-worker didn't say goodbye on a daily basis?
