Fall River fire officials believe an arsonist was behind an early morning blaze.

The fire was reported around 1:45 a.m. Monday at 295 Robeson St.

This follows several suspicious fire which took place in the area, including a four-car garage fire on Robeson St. on Aug. 13 that investigators determined was a case of arson.

District Fire Chief Scott Flannery told WPRI-TV that this leads him to believe an arsonist is responsible and that they need to be caught.

“We do have an arsonist in the city right now, he’s active, and hopefully we catch him and it won’t happen again,” he said.

No fire-related injuries were reported.
