You've got to be kidding! Again! For the second time in a month a major accident closes the Saggie!  I would expect a cell phone distraction would have caused this carnage.

I was wrong, it turns out a Provincetown woman has been charged with OUI and drug possession following a head on crash last night on the Sagamore Bridge. At 11:45 p.m., the crash involving two SUVs sent all five people in the vehicles to area hospitals, according to Cape Cod Today.

Dorothy Hitchcock of Provincetown will be summonsed to Falmouth District Court to answer to charges of OUI-drugs, OUI liquor, possession of a Class B substance, two counts of possession of a Class E substance, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation and a seat belt violation.

Should more safety precautions be installed on the Sagamore Bridge to help prevent these type of crashes? Jersey barrier? Rumble strips? Reflectors? The lighting is also pretty poor.

Or maybe people should just stop getting super jacked up on Sunday Fun Day and getting behind the wheel. Luckily, this time, nobody died. We weren't so lucky on July 4th when an accident in the same place claimed the lives of 2 men and sent police on a wild goose chase looking for a fictitious truck!
