For the second time this week, Wareham Police have responded to a threat against Wareham High School by a juvenile student.

On Thursday, school staff notified School Resource Officer Karl Baptiste that a juvenile-aged student made a statement to the effect he would "shoot up the school." The statement was immediately reported, and an investigation was initiated.

Police say that as a result of the preliminary investigation, the student was placed under arrest and charged with Threats to Commit a Crime and Terroristic Threats. The student will appear at the juvenile session of Wareham District Court for arraignment at a later date. Investigation of this matter is ongoing.

This is the second such investigation this week. On Monday, a juvenile student posted a picture of himself on Snapchat with the caption, "Anyone down for a school shooting?" That juvenile was also arrested and charged with Terroristic Threats.
