Alanis’ First Sound at Age 3 Will Melt Your Heart
Alanis has a gentle and joyful spirit, and her interests reflect her sweet nature. She absolutely loves music, especially Cocomelon. It is by far her favorite; it always captures her attention and brings a smile to her face. She enjoys making sounds and listening to herself, often vocalizing happily during play.
Alanis' foster mother, Patricia Pumphret, shared a very special moment with us.
"My very favorite memory with her was the day she made her first sound. She was almost 3," Pumphret said. "I was playing with her in the crib and she made her first sound. I thought I would cry. We waited so long to hear that."
Alanis finds comfort and joy in close, nurturing interactions. She especially enjoys being held, cuddled and whispered to in her ear. These moments often make her giggle.
She’s also captivated by visual and sensory experiences, such as looking at herself in the mirror and exploring toys that engage her senses. These interests are often incorporated into her early intervention activities, which help nurture her curiosity and delight in the world around her.
