Thanksgiving is for family, food, and football (not necessarily in that order). There's no better Massachusetts Thanksgiving tradition than high school football. It's a perfect storm of returning alumni, socializing, and players competing in their final games. Most high school football players will never play in games watched by bigger crowds.

You can follow scores in real time right here with Fun 107's SouthCoast Sports Scoreboard.

Here is a list of high school football games, times and locations for Thanksgiving weekend:

Old Colony and Tri-County Tech kick off Wednesday night at 6 p.m. in Bellingham. The Cougars play in the Vocational Tournament championship game next Thursday. Old Colony's double-headed monster of Blake Dennison and Tom Stanton have already had record-setting seasons for the Cougars.

After a heartbreaking loss to Ashland in the playoffs, the Old Rochester Bulldogs will host the Apponequet Lakers Wednesday night. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. under the lights.

The Wednesday night games are expected to be a little wet with scattered rain showers moving in throughout the night.

Here are your 10 o'clock kickoffs for Thanksgiving morning. ABC 6 Meteorologist Chelsea Priest tells us that it should be windy, chilly, but dry for the Thursday morning games:

  • Dartmouth at Fairhaven
  • Diman Voc at GNB Voc-Tech
  • Bishop Feehan at Bishop Stang
  • Wareham at Bourne
  • Seekonk at Dighton Rehobeth
  • Somerset Berkley at Case

Finally, New Bedford and Durfee kick-off at 10:15 a.m. in Fall River.

Good luck to all graduating seniors in their final Thanksgiving Day game! Play like a champion, and enjoy every single moment.
