...Elevated Risk for Fire Spread Today...

Dry air will overspread southern New England today with minimum
relative humidities dropping between 25 to 30 percent. Gusty
westerly winds will develop with gusts between 40 to 50 MPH
beginning mid-morning lasting into the early afternoon. This
combination will lead to an elevated risk for fire spread. Winds
will diminish fairly quickly later this afternoon and especially
after sunset.
