It may not be the High Roller in Vegas or the London Eye overlooking the Thames, but Boston is getting a towering Ferris wheel this February that is bound to thrill and chill visitors.

For many of us, Ferris wheels are something you'd ride at a summer carnival or during a theme park visit. Soon, however, you can bundle up for a winter ride over Boston, enjoying sweeping views of the city's skyline.

Where the Ferris Wheel Will Be Located

As part of the winter-long Boston Frostival, the Rose Kennedy Greenway will feature a 75-foot, illuminated Ferris wheel from January 31, 2026 - March 1, 2026.

Interested riders won't be able to miss this massive new ride across from Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park on Atlantic Avenue in Boston. The park, known for its gorgeous green spaces and amazing harbor views, will give guests a whole new way to enjoy its picturesque location — from above.

Ferris Wheel Dates, Hours, and Pricing

Ferris wheel rides are just $4 per person. Regular hours will be:

Wednesdays &Thursdays: 12 PM - 8 PM

Fridays & Saturdays: 12 PM - 9 PM

Sundays: 12 PM - 8 PM

Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays

During school vacation week, the Ferris wheel will also be open Monday, February 17 and Tuesday, February 18, from 12 PM - 8 PM.

More Winter Fun at Boston Frostival

Though if you want more of an excuse to spend a vacation day in Boston, starting February 6, 2026, the Frostival Lodge will open on Copley Square offering a taste of the ski chalet life in the middle of the city.
