Happy and Sweet New Bedford Dog Raven Sees a Home in Her Future [WET NOSE WEDNESDAY]
Happy Wet Nose Wednesday! Let's talk about dogs.
Hundreds of animals on the SouthCoast are waiting for a place to call home. Thanks to local shelters, these animals have a fighting chance, but they need our help in finding the perfect families.
Every week, we spotlight one animal up for adoption. This time, we head to New Bedford where a happy-go-lucky dog is ready to play with you.
Meet Raven, a 4-year-old, 45-pound pit bull/terrier mix at Lighthouse Animal Shelter in New Bedford. This social butterfly has never met a stranger and her happiness is contagious.
"We don’t know if our Raven girl was named after the character in That's So Raven but we’d like to think that if she is psychic like Raven, then she might be seeing a future forever home," the shelter said.

Once Raven gets outside, she loves to do some zoomies, roll over for belly rubs and dish out kisses.
Raven is eager to please when learning new tricks and has officially mastered "sit" and "lay down."
She seems to do well with more submissive dogs, and although she hasn't interacted with cats yet, the shelter is open to testing it out.
If you are looking for a loveable, snuggly, energetic companion, Raven is your girl.
Does Raven sound like a good fit for you and your family? Visit Lighthouse Animal Shelter online, like them on Facebook, and schedule a playdate ASAP.
Raven cannot wait to meet you.
