Young Fall River Dog Hopes to Start New Year With a Forever Family [WET NOSE WEDNESDAY]

Meet Florence. Florence is a three-year-old boxer mix that currently resides at Forever Paws Animal Shelter in Fall River. She weighs just under 50lbs, she loves attention, and she will do almost anything to get it.

"She's never met a stranger, and if given the chance, she will absolutely crawl straight into your lap and make herself comfortable," said the shelter. "It doesn't matter who you are or how long she's known you. If you have a lap, it's hers."

Florence is incredibly intelligent and picks up on commands quickly. Balls and squeaky toys bring her immense joy and she'll gladly share them with whoever wants to play.

The shelter recommends a forever home without cats and children 12 years of age or older. Florence is great with other dogs, and while she can be a little picky with her food, she is never "food aggressive."
