Mr. Westport Brings Six New Contestants to the Stage for the 21st Annual Competition
Six contestants, one crown, and a night these gentlemen will never forget: Westport High School's Mr. Westport Competition is taking the stage once again.
On Saturday, May 11, six high school seniors will compete for the title of Mr. Westport for an entire year. This will be the 21st year since the program launched at the former high school on Main Road. It's sponsored by Westport Athletic Boosters and the Class of 2024.
Meet this year's contestants: Tommy Bernard, Luke Coelho, Malakai Hughes, Cameron Moniz, Nicholas Stanton and Robby Wagner.
Back in 2003, the very first Mr. Westport was Ryan Grant. The following year was Andrew Barroso. In 2005, it was yours truly. I still, to this day, remember the reaction when my name was called. It was a brand-new chapter in my life and brought me an entirely new wave of confidence.
Twenty-one years in, the friendly competition is burning strong.
The show will consist of a swimsuit contest, talent portion and a questionnaire in formalwear.

The show begins at 6:00 PM at Westport Middle-High School, 400 Old County Road.
Tickets will be sold at the door for $10 for adults and $5 for children. This year's judges are Julie Newton-Dosvais, Kate Carpenter, Chris Arruda, Stacy Boutwell Silva, Conor Sowersby and Jeffrey Abrams.
Just about every judge is an alum of Westport Community Schools or has had a child attend school in Westport. The boys' tuxedos were generously donated by Slade Formalwear and promotional materials are sponsored by L&P Graphics in Fall River.
