The first-ever Pride celebration is coming to Westport thanks to the initiative of a local, LGTB-owned small business.
Keith and Jessie Dias of The Cat and Raven enjoy being active community members, and now, they look to bring an inviting and fun celebration to their hometown.
“As town residents, business owners, and proud members of the LGTBQ community, Keith and I felt it was time for our town’s pride to shine,” said Jessie Dias.

Overwhelming Support from Westport Community
Keith and Jessie are grateful for the love and support they have received for their efforts. While the two business owners dealt with some adversaries during the planning process, an “outpour of calls, comments, e-mails, and messages showing gratitude and appreciation” outweighed the opposition.
“We are truly amazed by the reception,” said Keith. “It is validation to us, personally, and proves (that) Westport has heart. It demonstrates that our local LGBTQ+ community is seen, heard, and respected. That’s what makes the SouthCoast such an amazing community.”
