If you're not down with the craziness that is Black Friday shopping, I hear you. So if you have the day off and you're not spending it shopping, what are you doing? Here are some great ideas!

First and foremost, if you have the day off and aren't getting up super early (or staying up super late, whatever the case may be) to get the deals, sleep in! Even if it's just for an hour, you gotta take advantage of a day to catch extra sleep!

The Friday after Thanksgiving is also a great day to go to the gym. Think about it, how many people are in their normal routine, not many. If you hit the gym at any point on Black Friday, you should be able to have access to any machine you want, without the chaos of everyone else.

It's a pretty good day to go to a live sporting event or a show. Most people are shopping, so you can have your pick!

It's also a pretty perfect day to sit around the house in your pj's and do whatever the heck you want, if you want! I like that option.

Actually, wanna know what I do every single Black Friday? It might sound weird, but it makes total sense! I use that day to take my cats to the vet for their annual check ups! It's not a holiday, so the vet is open, and I have the day off so I actually have time to bring them in. If I can't take my cats on Black Friday, it's always a super hassle of getting home from work, piling them into crates and driving over to the vet in afternoon rush hour traffic, with 4 crying cats in the back. It's not a fun time. Black Friday is the perfect day to bring them in! I take them in early in the morning, no wait, no hassle and then back home by lunch for some Thanksgiving leftovers.

Oh and here's another trick...sometimes I go shopping on Black Friday at night. Sure, the "doorbusters" are over, but you can still get some good deals without the crowds! Everyone that started earlier that day is already back home and probably napping.
