The five victims in Monday morning's deadly wrong-way crash in Middleborough have been identified. Massachusetts State Police Tuesday morning officially released the names of the five people killed in the crash.

Police say the driver of the 2011 Infiniti G37 that was headed south in the northbound lanes on Interstate 495 has been identified as 31-year-old Valantein V. Burson of Fall River.

Burson's car struck a 2003 Mercury Sable with four people inside head-on at 12:11am Monday. The Sable was driven by 20-year-old Kraig. A. Diggs of Paxton and Osterville. Diggs was a student at Anna Maria College. The passengers in the Sable are identified as 19-year-old Jordan J. Galvin-Jutras of Hyannis, also a student at Anna Maria College, 19-year-old Jordan J. Fisher of Harwich, a student at Becker College, and 18-year-old Cory. P. Licata of West Babylon, N.Y., also a Becker College student. Diggs, Galvin-Jutras, and Fisher were cousins. Licata was a friend of the three young men.

The crash remains under investigation. State Police do not expect any further information to be released today.
