Victims in Double-Fatal Crash in Fall River Identified

FALL RIVER - Massachusetts State Police have released the names of the two Providence men killed in an early morning Sunday crash in Fall River.

Police say the driver, 36-year-old Joseph Burnham, veered off the road and struck a tree on Route 24 northbound in Fall River, killing him and a passenger, 23-year-old Laurence Wheeler.

Another passenger was taken to Rhode Island Hospital where his condition is unknown.

Investigators continue to look at the crash.
