Vehicle Stops in New Bedford Result in Drug Arrests
New Bedford Police made two drug arrests Wednesday night.
The first happened just before 7 p.m. in the area of Bullard Street. According to a spokesperson, detectives spotted a man acting in a suspicious manner inside a car.
After further investigation, police arrested 54-year-old Manual Sousa Goncalves of New Bedford.
Investigators recovered some Suboxone and Goncalves was charged with possession of a Class B substance.
Just after 9 p.m., police stopped a vehicle on Tallman Street after recognizing that the driver had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
Thirty-three year old Jeremy Beaulieu of Acushnet was charged with possessing a small amount of heroin.
A passenger was also wanted on four outstanding warrants. He's identified as 45-year-old Juan Gonzalez, address unknown.
