Vehicle Possibly Damaged by Bullet in New Bedford Housing Project
NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford Police are investigating a possible shooting near the South End.
According to department logs, police responded to 46 Matthew Street in the Blue Meadows housing development at around 11:30 p.m. Monday for a "shots fired" incident.
A police department spokesperson said police had received a report that a vehicle in the 100-block of Bluefield Street, just around the corner from 46 Matthew Street, had damage consistent with a bullet hole.
Police did not disclose if the possible shooting had been detected by ShotSpotter.
