NEW BEDFORD — A New Bedford man and a Dartmouth woman were arrested on drug charges after New Bedford police responded to a shooting that damaged a vehicle in the city early Wednesday morning.
Police said the ShotSpotter gunshot detection system activated just after midnight Wednesday at Griffin Court.

A search of the vehicle allegedly turned up 17 bags of cocaine along with a stun gun, an open bottle of alcohol, and $395, which was seized.
The two occupants were identified by police as 33-year-old Roni Maocho of New Bedford and 35-year-old Stephanie Conigo of Dartmouth.
