THIS GUIDE HAS BEEN UPDATED: FIND THE MARCH 2021 VERSION HERE

We spent weeks and weeks checking out area playgrounds to help make your family's days off a bit more fun. All of our photos are from 2019, so there's no funny business when you get to a playground and wonder why it doesn't look the same as its Yelp review.

The Ultimate SouthCoast PlayGround Guide

At each playground, we kept our eyes open for parking, fences, age-appropriateness, and proximity of bathrooms. If it's on this list, it is because it is worth at least 30 minutes of playtime.

To make it easier, we've clumped the playground reviews into general areas. Click on the links below to read all about areas, including:

  1. New Bedford/Fairhaven
  2. Dartmouth/Westport
  3. Tri-Town/Wareham
  4. Fall River/Somerset

Get your cars ready and call up your parent-friends, because this is going to be the year you playground hop like never before. (Hint: We've been to the purple dots on our map but the orange dots are waiting to be explored!)

Remember:  School playgrounds are off limits during school days/hours. Anything you bring into the park with you, bring out. And lastly, if anyone in your town or school system does a playground fundraiser, consider supporting it. Our playgrounds are some of the best things we've got going for kids on the SouthCoast and we want to make sure they last as long as they should.
