The Magic Of Mary Poppins Is In New Bedford

New Bedford Festival Theatre has brought the magic of Mary Poppins to the Z!

Based on the P.L. Travers children's books and the classic Disney film, the musical features the practically perfect Nanny, Mary Poppins, and her adventures with the Banks family. Using a combination of magic and logic, Poppins teaches the Banks how to value each other again. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that “anything can happen if you let it.”

Settle into your seat and get ready to hear the same beloved music from the film, with additional music by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. Sing along to classics such as Chim Chim Chiree, A Spoonful of Sugar, and Jolly Holiday, and watch in amazement as the cast dances to Step in Time and Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. 

The show opened on July 24th, but there are still five more chances to see this practically perfect musical. The performance dates are July 30 & 31 at 7 pm, August 1 & 2 at 2 pm, and August 1 at 7 pm. Go to www.zeiterion.org for tickets!
