Massachusetts Restaurant Reveals Bill Murray’s Late-Night Snack Order
Bill Murray gave hundreds of fans a night they’ll never forget on Monday, August 3 when he made a surprise appearance after a screening of What About Bob? at New Bedford’s Zeiterion Performing Arts Center. After chatting with the audience, answering questions and basking in the applause, the Hollywood legend wasn’t quite ready to call it a night.

Instead, Murray made his way a few blocks down Union Street to The National Club Mexican Cantina, where staff got the surprise of their own when the Oscar-nominated actor walked through the doors looking for a late-night snack.
A Hollywood-Approved Order
According to the restaurant’s nightly recap shared with staff, the kitchen had already closed by the time Murray arrived, around 9:30 p.m. Rather than turning him away, the team offered him the full menu anyway. After all, it is the legend Bill Murray in the flesh. Wouldn't you?
Like always, whenever a celebrity in is town, I have to ask out of curiosity what they ordered. In Murray's case, it was the Barbacoa Tacos and a side of guacamole.

According to the staff report, Murray raved that the tacos were “insane” (in a good way) and loved the guacamole just as much. Instead of grabbing his food and heading out, he stuck around, chatted with employees and guests, and ended up closing out the night at the restaurant.

A Night New Bedford Won’t Forget
Murray has built a reputation for popping up in the most unexpected places, and New Bedford has been a hot zone for him. His surprise appearance at the Zeiterion was quite a delight, but his out of the blue stop at The National Club was next level for the Servedwell Hospitality group.
Just like myself, at the end of a long work day, all Bill Murray really wanted was a plate of tacos, some fresh guacamole and a relaxing night in downtown New Bedford. I've never related to a celebrity more.
