The Height of Dining Out in Boston – Literally
As we begin to warm up to dining out again, two daring companies want to take our dining experience to new heights and I don't think I can stomach it.
You may think it's weird of me to say seeing as I moonlight as a flight attendant but I'm deathly afraid of heights.
I have tested myself with this by skydiving and repelling off a building, and both times I kissed the ground as soon as my feet touch it.
I have seen this done in other cities and wondered who in their right mind would want to eat dinner a couple hundred feet in the air?
Corinthian Events out of Boston and Perfect Parties Entertainment Group of Peabody are partnering up to bring our next dining experience 180 feet in the air over the city of Boston, suspended from a crane.
It's going to be a hard pass for me. I don't think I'll be booking my reservation for this place. I'm sure they will have fantastic food but I just can't even fathom sitting up that high while trying to enjoy dinner. I'd be afraid to drop a crumb – or worse, my phone or wallet. Plus, what happens if I'm on a date and it's not going well? How do I excuse myself from the table?
Which leads me to my next question – where would the bathroom be?
Would you get yourself a reservation for this experience? It's currently in talks to open in the next few months, as long as all goes well with the reopening of Boston.
