Books and booze could be the next big thing in going out and the Boston Public Library is now offering both.

This week the Boston Public Library revamped their Map Room cafe into a tea lounge with bar seating, specialty drinks, soups and salads and even snacks and desserts.

This means you can make the library your new bar. And possible pick up spot.

I think this is a fantastic idea. Combining books and booze and offer me dessert? Yes to all of that.

And if I wasn't a happily married lady, I would totally rather meet someone at a library bar than a regular bar.

It's not a full on bar scene however. The library's tea lounge is more like a day/early evening hangout spot.

They'll be serving food and drinks 3 p.m. until 8:45 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 1 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Sundays.

The bar stools are first come, first serve but you can make table reservations if you want to make sure you can try this new lounge.

Considering how gorgeous the Boston Public Library is, this room would make a great date night spot, girls lunch place and much more.

And if you head home with a great book too, totally win!
