New Bedford Administrator Has Dedicated 51 Years to Teaching [TEACHER OF THE MONTH]
Dr. Stephen Furtado is an administrator at Global Learning Public Charter School in New Bedford, and as he heads into retirement, his peers look to honor his 51 years as an educator with Fun 107's Teacher of the Month award.
Here is what a few people had to say about this hardworking administrator:
We nominate Dr. Stephen Furtado for Teacher of the Month. Even though he has been an administrator for many years, at heart he has always been and always will be a teacher. Whether it is presenting a history lesson in the classroom; or guiding his administrative staff in making sound decisions; or teaching college education courses on the ins and outs of state and federal education rules and regulations, his passion for teaching never wavers.
We wish him all the best in his retirement after 51 years as an educator. We will miss him.Thank you, Dr. F
