Teacher Arrested In Florida With 15-Year-Old Former Student

A providence elementary school teacher has been accused of taking a 15-year-old former student with him to Miami Beach without the permission of her parents.

56-year-old David Jones was arrested for "interference with custody," which makes it a crime to entice any minor or any incompetent person from custody of parents, guardians, or any public agency in charge of the child's care.

Jones is being held in Florida on $9,000 bail. A police report says the two exchanged text messages that were sexually explicit.
