Taunton’s Lights On Festival Returns December 6 — 112th Lighting
Mark your calendars, Christmas City. Taunton's beloved Lights On Festival is returning on Saturday, December 6 from 3-8 p.m. with everything you know and love.
For the 112th time, the Taunton Green will be transformed into a wonderland of magical holiday lights, music fit for the festive season and Santa visits for the young and young at heart.
The event will even take the lights to the skies with another stunning laser light show that will illuminate Liberty & Union Park to maximum brightness.

The Lighting of the Green is a long-standing tradition in Taunton, but things have come a long way since the first downtown lighting back in 1914.

In fact, the thousands of people who travel to Taunton each holiday season now come for a lot more than just lights.
What's New This Year
Although the Taunton Green decorations are absolutely amazing, the Lights On Festival also highlights local musicians and artists. During the event there is live entertainment at dozens of sites, a youth art showcase downtown and for the first time ever, a Winter Market for local vendors to showcase their goods.
You can get in the holiday spirit, while working on that holiday shopping.
Buttons, Discounts & How to Save
Buttons for the Lights On Festival are on sale now. Besides granting access to festival activities, they also unlock special deals and discounts at participating downtown businesses. Simply show yours while you shop and save big throughout the city.
The lights officially turn on at the December 6 event, and remain up through the holiday season. So, even if you miss the first lighting, you can return through New Year's Day to enjoy the festive displays on the Green, along Main Street, at Liberty & Union Park and even at Memorial Fountain on Church Street.
