Taunton Homicide Under Investigation

TAUNTON (WBSM) — Authorities are investigating a homicide that occurred this morning in Taunton.

According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, Taunton Police were dispatched to 155 Highland Street at about 9:45 a.m. today for a report of a “deceased male in a furnished shed.”

Police arrived and determined the victim had been shot to death.

He was identified as a 32-year-old Taunton man, but his name is not yet being released pending notification of next of kin.

The homicide is being investigated by Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the D.A.’s Office, Taunton Police and Homicide Unit prosecutors.

No further information is being released at this time, the D.A.’s Office said.
