
Fall River Police Arrest Suspect in Double Homicide
FALL RIVER (WBSM) — An arrest has been made in a double homicide that occurred last night in Fall River.
Response to Aetna Street Shooting
According to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III, Fall River Police were dispatched to the area of 90 Aetna Street at about 8:50 p.m. on June 10 for a report of shots fired.
Police arrived to find an unresponsive man lying on the sidewalk between 90 and 104 Aetna Street. He was covered in blood with significant trauma to his face and was not breathing. Officers attempted to render medical aid.
A second man was found lying on the ground in the southeast corner of 99 Aetna Street. He had a pool of blood under his arms and head. A metal pitchfork was found impaled into the back of his head, behind the ear.
Victims and Suspect Identified
The two deceased men were identified as Pablo Henrique Rocha-Dasilva, 20, of Whitman, and Eduardo Cardosa DaSilva, 19, of Fall River.

Massachusetts State Police encountered the suspect, Vitor Francisco Gomes, 28, of Fall River, about a block away from the crime scene and covered in blood. After a brief foot chase, they found Gomes in possession of a bag that contained a firearm and ammunition.
Foot Chase and Murder Charges
Gomes was arrested and charged with two counts of murder, unlawful carrying of a firearm, and unlawful possession of ammunition. He is expected to be arraigned today in Fall River District Court.
The incident remains under investigation by State Police detectives assigned to the D.A.’s Office and Fall River Police.
