Taunton Farm Builds New Pavilion Bar Following Winter Storm Damage
After losing their original bar and tent to heavy snow and wind during this year’s winter storms and blizzard, Deep Pond Farm and Stables in Taunton is turning that setback into something much bigger and a whole lot better.
Owner George Gazal told us what started as storm damage quickly turned into a vision for something permanent. “We lost our bar, our tent and everything,” he said. “So we decided to make it a little more like a permanent structure.”
As for what they’re building now? It’s not just a replacement, it’s an upgrade that will have you saying "wow!"
A Pavilion Built for Every Kind of Weather
Coming as soon as early May, the new 40-by-80 outdoor pavilion is designed to keep the party going no matter what Mother Nature throws at it. In the past, a rainy day meant shutting things down. With only picnic tables and umbrellas, there just wasn’t a way to comfortably host guests. That’s no longer the case.
Now, visitors will be able to sit under a fully covered structure, enjoy their drinks, and stay dry. Even during those unpredictable spring and summer showers. Also, for those who prefer the open air, there will still be plenty of seating outside the pavilion, too.
The Farmhouse Bar, Just Bigger and Better
The beloved Farmhouse Bar isn’t going anywhere, it’s just getting a serious upgrade.
“We always had the Southern-inspired cocktails,” Gazal said. “That’s always been part of what we do.”
Now, those drinks will be served from a massive 40-foot bar, doubling the size of what they had before. For the first time ever, Deep Pond will offer beer on tap, with plans for 10 to 12 options flowing.
It’s the same vibe people already love, just elevated.
Live Music, Fire Pits and Big Crowd Energy
If you’ve ever been to Deep Pond, you know it’s more than just a place to grab a drink.
It's an experience that's growing with the addition of a stage inside the pavilion, setting the scene for live entertainment from Thursday through Sunday, running May through December. Gazal says they’ve already brought in talent from places like Nashville, and last year’s Country Fest drew an impressive 2,500 people.
As for the fire pit, it's still part of the plan, just moved slightly away from the pavilion to keep things safe and cozy. While final hours are still being worked out, Gazal said they’re allowed to stay open until midnight, with weekends likely stretching later into the night than before.
