Have you ever gone into a Target and had a plan to just purchase one or two items? Usually, that's not possible. My last visit to Target for some toiletries ended up with me getting all of my holiday decorations for the entire house. A visit that should have cost me 20 bucks ended up costing me over $300.

It's no wonder Target will be opening its first location in Cape Cod right before the holidays.

Simon Property Group which owns and manages the Cape Cod Mall announced the store's opening will be on October 20. With an opening date like that, they better have a ton of Halloween costumes for those last-minute people looking to get dressed up.

While it's going to be a smaller-format Target store, it will still feature home decor, beach and vacation essentials, kids products, seasonal items, and, of course, a Starbucks. Altogether, the new location will take up about 80,000 square feet.

With a new store comes the need to hire, right? Target says it will be looking to hire about 150 employees for this new location. To help with recruiting, they will have hiring events between September 9th to the 11th, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the Cape Cod Mall.

I guess I need to start paying down my credit card so I can check out this Target. Any excuse to shop, right?

Are you exciting about this new Target location? I'm ready to get my fake tree already!
